Our Story
In 1974, Premier Banks commenced operations as Maplewood State Bank in a double-wide trailer at White Bear Avenue and Beam Avenue. Today we’re among the largest of Minnesota-based banks, with combined assets over 1.6 billion dollars and 146 million in capital. We changed our name to Premier Bank in 1988 and now serve clients from 20 locations across the state. Most of our profits stay within our banks to sustain and enhance our clients’ growth.
The Premier Banks triple in size with the acquisition of eight Midwest Federal Savings offices. With $275.5 million in assets, Premier Banks is comprised of three independently managed charters: Premier Bank (Maplewood, Osseo, and Roseville), Premier Bank Metro South (Faribault, Farmington, Owatonna, and Northfield), and Premier Bank Rochester (three locations in Rochester).
